Your training journal
Log any kind of training, and let it plan your fuel: race days, carb loads, and rest days.
From the member training built into FuelPath. Members and coaches read this inside the app with per-lesson progress.
1Every session is a journal entry
Open the Train tab (the Training view), or tap + and Log a workout. The Train tab holds two views, Training and Habits, with a switch at the top; it reopens on whichever you used last. Your day type (training, rest, refeed) is set at the top of the Training view. Pick from more than 70 activities: lifting, CrossFit and metcons, HYROX, the rower, ski erg, air bike, stationary bike, runs, rides, swims, walks, sports, and more.
Each kind gets its own details. Lifting takes your lifts with sets, reps, and weight. A metcon takes the format, the workout, your score, and Rx or scaled. The rower and ski erg take meters and your split. Name a benchmark (Fran, Murph) and FuelPath tracks it.
Then write in it: how you felt, how hard it was from 1 to 10, and a note. Sessions from WHOOP, Oura, Strava, and Apple Health land on their own; open one to add the same details.
Use something FuelPath does not connect to, like Suunto, Garmin, COROS, Polar, Peloton, or Zwift? Tap From a screenshot (or Workout from a screenshot on the + menu) and upload a screenshot of the workout summary, or snap a photo of your watch, the rower screen, or the whiteboard. FuelPath reads the time, distance, calories, heart rate, splits, and score, shows you what it read, and you log it in one tap.
Each session page shows the food around it: what you ate that day by meal, the carbs, and your recovery the next morning. Over time that is how you learn what fuels your best days.
2Your training sets the day
Your training picks the day type for you (you can still override it). A long or hard session makes it a big day, a race makes it race day, the days before a long race become carb-load days, the day after is a recovery day, and a day with no training is a rest day.
Your target moves with it, and the change always goes into carbs, the fuel training runs on. Protein stays put. The lighter green slice after the notch on your calorie and carb rings is what training added.
You can still override any day from Today or your day review. Your pick wins until you tap Auto.
3Races and competitions
Add a race, meet, or competition in Training, Calendar, or your coach adds it for you. FuelPath builds the fueling around it: carb-load days for long events, a carb-rich breakfast 2 to 4 hours before, carbs during, and recovery after, all sized to your body weight.
A half marathon, marathon, triathlon, century ride, HYROX, CrossFit competition, and powerlifting meet each have their own defaults. Your coach can change any of them for you.
Practice race fueling on your long sessions. The day is not the time to try a new gel.
4Load, recovery, and rest days
Load is minutes times how hard a session felt, so a lift, a metcon, and a long ride count on one scale. FuelPath compares your last 7 days to your usual week: easing, steady, building, pushing, or a spike.
When load spikes while your recovery, heart rate variability, or sleep slip, FuelPath and your AI coach suggest an easier day. Fitness shows up after recovery, not during the hard days. If your plan says go hard that day, check with your coach first.
Your records live on the Load tab: estimated one-rep maxes from your lifts, and your best scores on named workouts.
